Thoughts On Opening A New Book

Will you help me lose my loneliness
    And bring me visions bright,
As brilliant as the silver stars
    That pierce the purple night?
Will you fill my mind with pleasant dreams
'And lift my soul up high,
Until it is an April bird
    Winging toward the sky?
Will you create a garden path
    Where I can stroll alone,
With laughter___and a little song
That I may call my own?
